Yesterday Bklyner published Pacific Park’s 550 Vanderbilt Announces First 3 Commercial Tenants, which adds to the previously reported news that Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream would be a tenant.

Eladia’s Kids, founded some 35 years ago by Eladia Causil-Rodriguez, offers childcare and early childhood education at three locations in Park Slope and one on the border of Fort Greene/Clinton Hill.
Beer Street, a beer bar on Graham Avenue in Williamsburg, opened its first location in 2014. The 550 Vanderbilt location will have a full bar.
The article, perhaps based on a press release, quoted Beer Street's Cory Bonfiglio: “We considered many neighborhoods, and ultimately turned our attention to Pacific Park. Seeing the space at 550 Vanderbilt and learning about the growing Pacific Park community convinced us this was the perfect location to grow the brand."
The "growing Pacific Park community"? The businesses at 550 Vanderbilt should appeal to people in that building and even the tower down the block at 535 Carlton.
But it's a good bet that these new businesses will draw far more people from the surrounding Prospect Heights community than the "Pacific Park community" in towers flanking the arena two blocks away.
